I think you ought to depict legendary clashes in the bg
Like mewtwo and arceus facing each other(in a dark bg)(both are glowing with rage and power!)
Or articuno,zapdos and moltress together

it seems like a nice idea, but the problem is that 85% of the bg is covered by the topics and widgets etc and only 15% is remaining visible, add more than 1 pokemons in the bg will make it kinda messy and not a single would be quite visible

Yeh, that's why my flareon BG failed. The widgets extended the forum resolution as the BG is 1950px Width so I assume I need to make a new BG with around 2450px width. I can do like a Black background with legendary clashing although they will be colour over layed. E.g.

Give something (some pokerank or person rank for the various winners,not points)(of course badges are there for the participants)so that people would remember having taking part in the contest and having done something...
